The United States Honor Flag

As we reflect on the seventeenth anniversary of the attacks on 9/11, we would like to share the story of very special customers we had the opportunity to work with earlier this year, the United States Honor Flag team.

The United States Honor Flag was gifted to Chris Heisler by the Texas House of Representatives shortly after September 11th. It was the very same flag that flew over the Texas Capitol on that day and was given to him to thank him for his crucial role in organizing one of the longest police motorcades in U.S. history. The motorcade was made up of law enforcement officers from across the Lone Star State and bound for Ground Zero to honor New York City first responders who lost their lives trying to save victims of the terrorist attacks.

Today, the U.S. Honor Flag travels with Heisler and the Honor Network team across the country to pay tribute to our fallen heroes who served our country as police officers, firefighters, first responders, and active combat duty military members. This flag, in particular, has become such an important symbol of the strength of our brothers and sisters in arms and of comfort for their families that are left behind. We at CAP Fleet Upfitters are proud to have had the chance to work with this amazing organization whose efforts have made such a huge difference in the lives of so many.
